ABOUT
Preparedness should be calm, structured, and traceable.
BLACKOUTBOX began with one question: how can a household prepare for several simultaneous disruptions at once, without sliding into fearmongering, gadget collecting, or improvised one-off purchases.
THE FOUNDER
Shervin Emanuel Sabai Kashani
M.Sc. Civil Engineering · former Officer · deployment experience in Afghanistan and Mali
The configurations combine military situational assessment, construction and infrastructure expertise, crisis management, and experience in safety-critical work environments. The approach is deliberately civilian: what actually helps a private household stay organised and capable of acting during a disruption?
Military leadership
Former Officer, training and deployment experience.
Construction & infrastructure
Project management, cost, quality, buildings and utilities.
Security & logistics
Aviation security and safety-critical operations.
Crisis management
Risk analysis, prioritisation, and decisions under time pressure.
OUR PRINCIPLES
What BLACKOUTBOX does deliberately differently.
No fear-based selling
We state risks factually and limitations openly. A box can improve provisioning, but it cannot guarantee absolute safety.
A system, not a grab-bag
Every variant follows the same six supply categories. Customers should understand why each component is included.
Built for the long term
Shelf life, best-before dates, charge states, and replacement intervals are treated as a system, not a one-off purchase.
Transparency before perfection
Open questions — case size, foam inserts, product availability — are clarified before purchase, not glossed over.
OUR METHOD
Understand the situation. Organise supply. Deliver a system.
Analyse the household
Number of people, living situation, storage location, medical considerations, and desired timeframe.
Set priorities
Which functions need to be secured first, and which are optional?
Document the configuration
Contents, best-before dates, storage notes, inspection intervals, and open questions are handed over in a traceable way.
